9 months

3/4 of a year.
that means in 3 months, he'll be 1!
Yikes, I am not handling that thought very well. Now that I really do know that in the blink of an eye, my big three are 8, 7 and 6, the minutes of his life are so, so precious!

He weighs 20 lbs. He definitely trimmed up this past month with all the moving around!

He is walking around furniture, and will walk while holding onto someone's fingers. Not quite thinking about taking off on his own yet.

Had his first trip to the park, most of his time there, he sat on the picnic table with me, eating his brothers blueberry muffin that he decided he didn't want. Weston, however devoured the whole entire thing.

Which brings me to my next update.... boy can EAT! and he eats EVERYTHING!
I love it. My big 3 are soooo picky. I have so enjoyed feeding him all sorts of variety, and he is eating all table foods so that makes meal time much easier!

He copies a lot of what you say to him, of course da-da and ma-ma, but he's gotten to where he will say pa-pa when he gets around his Papa, and he says bye-bye and wave when you tell him to.... and he's clapping his hands!

He has good days and bad days with his eye, seems one day I'm so impressed because you can hardly tell he has a lazy eye, and then the next day he wakes up and is barely opening it. We are getting to the age where we'll be making some decisions on what we will do!
Pray for wisdom!

He loves drawers! and he loves to pull everythitng out of drawers. Brother and sisters' desk drawers are full of JUNK so he spends lots of time in their rooms. ;)

We made the BIG switcheroo out of mama and daddy's room. We've for the most part co-slept since he was born. I am SO glad we were able to do it... but we were getting to the point of him not sleeping, me not sleeping, him nursing all.night.long. so after a few terrible, awful nights, I knew it was time. We spent a few days switching rooms, and we got all of his stuff moved to his new room! I knew it would be a hard transition, we are on night 3, and we're adjusting! Tears have been shed (by us both) lots and lots of extra lovin' has taken place, but each night has been easier and easier!

He attended his first Rodeo. The sights and sounds and people kept him VERY entertained.

This poor little man has been through it ALL this month. He had RSV, ear infections, the stomach bug, a cold, AND he got his very first tooth... which he worked oh so hard for. We also had a few tests run to check out his too large left kidney that he has had since in utero. Since Payton had kidney reflux, they wanted to test him for it, and also wanted to see the function of his kidneys. Praise the Lord, everything came back normal. I was so relieved, although I know there is so much worse a child could have, I did not want to go through all that we went through with Payton.

8 months

Baby boy is 8 months old!

As from my last post, he spent a few weeks sick. It was a miserable time!! I ended up taking him back to the Dr. a 3rd time because the fussiness/sleeplessness was too much to bear! I just knew something was still wrong with him, and sure enough, those darn ears were still red. I finally, somewhat feel as though we are "among the living."
A few days after we started another round of antibiotics, he and I fell asleep in the chair @ 9:30 am, moved to the bed an hour later and slept until 1:00. I woke up felling so awful for having slept the day away, but I think we both desperately needed some sleep! We are still kinda working on the sleep thing, bad habits may have been formed out of desperation of sleep. ;)

He's a pro crawler! One day it finally clicked that he could use this moving thing to actually go somewhere. I love to watch him go into the kids' bedrooms and explore. He's discovered there's lots more fun in those rooms than anywhere else.

I love being followed around the house by him.

He's started to eat a lot more! He's just never been too interested in pureed food, but now that he can fingertip grasp food and feed himself, he will ONLY eat what he can feed himself! He is so not into being fed!
HOWEVER, if you have something sweet on the other side of the spoon, you cannot shovel it into his mouth fast enough. He gets pretty crazy about those sweets.

We went to Wendys the other day and let the kids gets a frosty.. and well, daddy snuck the little man a bite of frosty and it went downhill from there. We had to pack up and leave quickly because he started full on screaming!

His hair- something to document... When he was born, he was  bald on top... all but a small amount, right up front. Its awful! So many times i've wanted to just trim it cuz its a hot mess! As his hair has
grown, so has that long-ness in the front... and it is so thin and whispy, it flies up and he often looks like this:

I am constantly doing the mom spit thing... but 5 seconds later, its just done its own thing again... and I'm thinking he'll have curls... cant wait to see what comes of this hair of his.

I love to see his different relationships forming with each of the bigs. He and Payton have the "mothering" relationship. Lets just say, she puts me to shame. ;)  I often have to explain to her that even tho I may sit back and watch things happen, Its what mamas have to do so that the little one will learn.
I drive her crazy.
But he quite possibly loves her more than he loves anyone else in this house.

Stetson has suddenly taken a liking to Weston, not that he's disliked him, but he's just not been interested in baby-ness, but now that Weston is a tad more fun, I see a pretty neat relationship forming there. I see lots of wrestling and sword fights in their future.

Madelynn is the fun sister.
The one that will quite possibly get into trouble with little bro. ;)

You  can normally find him standing up on whatever he can get his hands on! We've not had much foot movement yet, but I'm waiting for it any day now! He is SO ready to walk.

He definitely keeps his mama busy these days, but I'm enjoying my days with him.

Happy New Year!

Real life, y'all!
Husband wore dirty socks to work yesterday.
Just loaded 2 days worth of dirty dishes in the dishwasher.
I wont even tell you the amount of showers I've NOT taken in the past week.
Baby has RSV + ear infections
Boy #1 has a sinus infection.
Picked up girl # 1 from school today after she threw up.
all 3 have coughs from the pit of hell.
....and I am softly cradling girl #2 from this chaos.

What a buncha craziness we have going on around here!!!

We took Weston to the clinic last Friday when his breathing went way downhill and we found out he has RSV.
We had a not so fun/exhausting weekend with him. Although I HATE to see

my little baby so worn out from feeling so bad, I loved every second of all the cuddles... and boy was there lots of cuddles. He and I have been inseperable... which can be so exhausting! I was thankful when Nat sent me out to go (back) to town last night to get (more) meds for my sickies. I turned the music up loud, rolled down the windows, and drove a few miles over the speed limit. ;) ;) :) Why are these things so liberating??
Thankful for daddys that hold down babys to give them breathing treatments.
Actually I'm thankful for this guy for lots of other reasons. Although he worked crazy hour days through all of this, he still comes home and helps more than I could ever ask him for.

reality.

I took both boys to the Dr.(again) and we found out that on top of his "junk"  little man also has infected ears, (which explains sooooo much about his fussiness!!!!) and Stetson has a sinus infection.
Steroids, breathing treatments and antibiotics for both.

We made the best of our mama/sons date and went to Sonic as we waited on meds to be filled.

As I (finally) did the dishes this morning, I thanked God that we are on the mend, and laughed at the amount of medicine cups/syringes I washed.

We are starting out 2017 with a bang.

Lets just say our few "changes" have been set on the back burner until I can dig myself out of the laundry, dishes, and housework I am now buried under.

Weston- 7 months + Family stuff

7 months!
19 lbs
He seems to be "thinning out" and getting longer

What a joy these past months have been. So many times a day, I close my eyes, hold him tight, and thank God for giving him to us.

Weston is moving right along!

I'm fairly certain he is much more concerned about figuring out how to walk than crawl. Its been funny to watch him try to crawl. He gets around, but most of the time I'm just unsure how he does it. (As of today (7 months and 11 days... yes I'm late posting this) He finally crawled normal.) He tries so very hard to pull up and has a few times all on his own. This was his first time doing it on his own in the wagon, you can tell he was quite proud of himself.

Goes from laying to sitting up. So much so that it has been a NIGHTMARE! The very second he learned to sit up from being down, he refuses to lay down. Like put him to bed in a dead sleep, he awakes and sits right up. It was probably 2 weeks of dealing with that hard core....( if ever there was something to test your patience...........) now its only about 50% of the time... and you can bet that I am PRAYIN as I lay him down that he'll stay down.
Talk about frustrating!!!!!
Good thing he's cute

-Started saying "mamama"... and I'm fairly certain he knows what he's talkin' about when he says it, cuz he says it when he needs something from his mama. ;)

-
-We are still enjoying breastfeeding, although I've found myself a little sad that the nursing has slowed way down since starting solids.  He mostly only "relaxes" if we are laying down nursing. If were sitting up in a chair, he is doing everything in his power to NOT relax and enjoy, i.e. slapping, scratching, squeezing, jerking, chomping.

........so if you haven't figured it out yet, he is very afraid of missing out on something.

-Still no teeth. He'll go through spurts of "teething symptoms" and I'll think this is it, then like that it all disappears.

-recognizes when you say Dada, and recognizes his daddys voice. Always love to see him hear his daddy when he's been away from him. His eyes light up.

-
I'll just say this- siblings make his world go around.

Just cuz.

Weston, Liam & Konnor

We've been on several trips- After Thanksgiving, we went to NM to visit family there. The kids (&Nathaniel ;)) Had so much fun playing outside. We missed seeing Aunt DeeDee and her bunch, but Weston loved meeting his Uncle Jim and Aunt Veronica.

As a Christmas gift from their Nana, we went to The Great Wolf Lodge, and Holiday in the Park @ six flags.
He rocked it!

We had him out way past his bedtime most nights, and he took many stroller naps on our trip.

It took him a sec to get used to the water, but he was able to spend a little time in the water.

We also

He's so intrigued by the twins and he looks at them as if he is waiting for them to get up and play with him. ;) He is ready!!!

The fam!

We were able to keep him nice and toasty at Six Flags by bundling him up, and wearing him.

We had a blast at six flags. Its always a new experience as they get older and are able to do more things than the last time we went.

Although I love rollercoasters, I didn't ride a whole lot, but these 2 are gonna be my riding buddies through the years!!!

Weston even got to ride a few things with us!

We also went to Round Rock to see the adoption of a new cousin, and meet more cousins!

Wiped out and ready to go home.

He's a wonderful traveler!
