Weston- 7 months + Family stuff

7 months!
19 lbs
He seems to be "thinning out" and getting longer

What a joy these past months have been. So many times a day, I close my eyes, hold him tight, and thank God for giving him to us.

Weston is moving right along!

I'm fairly certain he is much more concerned about figuring out how to walk than crawl. Its been funny to watch him try to crawl. He gets around, but most of the time I'm just unsure how he does it. (As of today (7 months and 11 days... yes I'm late posting this) He finally crawled normal.) He tries so very hard to pull up and has a few times all on his own. This was his first time doing it on his own in the wagon, you can tell he was quite proud of himself.

Goes from laying to sitting up. So much so that it has been a NIGHTMARE! The very second he learned to sit up from being down, he refuses to lay down. Like put him to bed in a dead sleep, he awakes and sits right up. It was probably 2 weeks of dealing with that hard core....( if ever there was something to test your patience...........) now its only about 50% of the time... and you can bet that I am PRAYIN as I lay him down that he'll stay down.
Talk about frustrating!!!!!
Good thing he's cute

-Started saying "mamama"... and I'm fairly certain he knows what he's talkin' about when he says it, cuz he says it when he needs something from his mama. ;)

-
-We are still enjoying breastfeeding, although I've found myself a little sad that the nursing has slowed way down since starting solids.  He mostly only "relaxes" if we are laying down nursing. If were sitting up in a chair, he is doing everything in his power to NOT relax and enjoy, i.e. slapping, scratching, squeezing, jerking, chomping.

........so if you haven't figured it out yet, he is very afraid of missing out on something.

-Still no teeth. He'll go through spurts of "teething symptoms" and I'll think this is it, then like that it all disappears.

-recognizes when you say Dada, and recognizes his daddys voice. Always love to see him hear his daddy when he's been away from him. His eyes light up.

-
I'll just say this- siblings make his world go around.

Just cuz.

Weston, Liam & Konnor

We've been on several trips- After Thanksgiving, we went to NM to visit family there. The kids (&Nathaniel ;)) Had so much fun playing outside. We missed seeing Aunt DeeDee and her bunch, but Weston loved meeting his Uncle Jim and Aunt Veronica.

As a Christmas gift from their Nana, we went to The Great Wolf Lodge, and Holiday in the Park @ six flags.
He rocked it!

We had him out way past his bedtime most nights, and he took many stroller naps on our trip.

It took him a sec to get used to the water, but he was able to spend a little time in the water.

We also

He's so intrigued by the twins and he looks at them as if he is waiting for them to get up and play with him. ;) He is ready!!!

The fam!

We were able to keep him nice and toasty at Six Flags by bundling him up, and wearing him.

We had a blast at six flags. Its always a new experience as they get older and are able to do more things than the last time we went.

Although I love rollercoasters, I didn't ride a whole lot, but these 2 are gonna be my riding buddies through the years!!!

Weston even got to ride a few things with us!

We also went to Round Rock to see the adoption of a new cousin, and meet more cousins!

Wiped out and ready to go home.

He's a wonderful traveler!

Weston- 6 months

We can skip ahead 3 months, right??
For good measure, here are his 4 month.

 and 5 month pictures

and for 6 months, because its huge, because he's half way to 1, because he wont stop growing, We went outside and snapped a few good pics.

Oh my precious boy. What did we ever do without him?? I often find myself in awe that we went 5.5 years without a baby, seems like he's been here forever.

I am soakin up every ounce of him that I can! 6 months is such a fun age! I like to call it the calm before the storm...  I .e. before baby moves. ;)

Quick update on the eye- We saw the ophthalmologist in October, everything is still great with his eyes, so we'll continue to tape it open, and now add patching for 2 hours a day. So far I've not seen any improvement, but that's what we will do for the time being. The Dr. said that we would discuss surgery when he is 1. I hate, hate, hate the idea of that, but I am getting to the point of wanting it fixed!

-He's sitting up like a pro.
- 18. 5 lbs of love
-breastfeeding like a pro
- has had some real food, has a love/hate relationship with it most of the time.
-Size 9-12 month clothes
-loves to blow spit bubble
-often makes the sssss sound
- Not at all sleeping through the night. Still up 2-3 times (but for some reason, I am ok with this)
- There is no shortage of love for this little man. I'm forever thankful for these 3 and what they mean to Weston. Its a precious, precious relationship that they all have.

-We have loved adding Weston to our yearly traditions, he just fits right in!
First trip to the pumpkin patch

Helping mom work the pumpkin patch at church.

-First Halloween. I had other plans for him this Halloween, but when the Dr. prescribed and eye patch, there was no doubt that he must be a pirate for Halloween!!!!

-First Thanksgiving is in the books as successful! He chowed down on mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans, and cranberry sauce, with a little whipped cream for dessert. Oh how you see things a little differently as you get older... It was pure joy to watch him eat!

Weston (all of them, actually) also got pretty much the coolest gift ever in 2 new cousins! Three boys 5 months apart is gonna be some good times!! We are so thankful to the Lord for the blessing of these sweet boys! Lots of praying for all 3 of them!

Weston- 3 months

Our little man hit the 3 month mark and he's oh so much fun! We've been able to enjoy Weston to the fullest! I know I've said it before, but #4 has been so different. Life's a little sweeter the older you get, and even more sweeter knowing that he's the last one.

3 months
14.5 lbs.
At 3 months-
-He has NO, none, zero ounce of normalcy! I am so ready to kinda have a schedule down with him  nap this time, eat this amount of time every this many hours. He is so sporadic still. One thing that we are kinda getting in the groove of is a bed time. It has been from 8:30-9:30 the past few nights and I am definitely enjoying that! So, being my first breast fed baby, I wonder if that has a play in it.

-He is the "5 minute napper". Lord-y the temperature, sound level, lighting, cushiness of sleeping location, position of the head, fullness of the belly, diaper status, and smell of mom all has to be aligned for this child to take a decent nap. So in other words, he's the 5 minute napper....

-most nights are okay, his first long stretch being about 5 hrs (and if I was smart, id go to bed and enjoy this..... but I don't) and then is up every 2-3 hours.... and if he's going through a growth spurt. I just shouldn't even go to bed. ;)

- He's a talkin' little man! I love to sit and talk with him and just watch him.

-Drools like crazy

- Is starting to reach for stuff and bring it straight to the mouth.

-I don't feel that his eye has improved any since the little it did at the beginning. (anxiously awaiting our next appointment for that)

- I've noticed as he gets older that when his eye is not taped, unless you get his attention, he has no desire to look around, and mostly just looks down. But really "opens up" once both eyes are opened.

-He absolutely adores his siblings.

-His face brightens the second he hears daddy say "Hey boy"

- Mom is less "business" and I think maybe he likes me now. Ha!

-startles and gets upset very easily.

We only love him just a teeny tiny bit.

Love that squinty eye smile. ;)

He spends a lot of time in the bumbo, in the kitchen with me. I loooove havin him to look at as I spend so much time in the kitchen!

oh that face, melts me into a million pieces.

breakfast with big sis!

I call this look The Weston. He will have forehead wrinkles before we know it.  definitely workin' hard to try and get that eye open.
