December?!?

Seriously, how is it December?? Totally snuck up on me!! I was NOT feeling the "Christmas spirit" this year like I usually do, and I honestly think it was cuz It literally snuck up!!  (It also could have been because its still 80* outside.... )
We've just been so busy with life and such, I wasn't ready.
No fear, Christmas Spirit has joined the Roses!! :)
We have another year of the little Christmas tree, and minimal decor. Seems to be an every other year type thing for us...  ;)

This year, as each year does, is more fun with the kids!!! We are getting all into the true meaning of Christmas... the kids are asking questions and its pretty exciting that they get it!!!

Miss Madelynn was dying to put the topper on.

Eggnog moustaches.

We had a neat little Advent calendar we got last year so we were super excited about pulling it out this year!!! As we got our Christmas stuff out on Nov. 28, my poor, poor Madelynn had to wait 3 days to get it started!!! It was a looooonnnnggg 3 days for her!!!! Needless to say, it has been a hilight of our day since Dec. 1.

We also got a really neat treat from Uncle Karl and Aunt Crystal this year, a new present (book) each night till Christmas. So between the advent calendar, and a new book each night, we've lived for the nights... the kids are LOVING it!!

Oh, and can you take a wild guess at how many times we've watched Rudolph, and Frosty the snowman??

Weigh in

Rose baby (errr big kid....) weigh in
Madelynn @52 months= 35 lbs
Payton @39 months= 30 lbs
Stetson @28 months= 33 lbs

Madelynn, as you can see clearly towers over her siblings. :( bittersweet to me as we used to be asked multiple times an outing if the girls were twins... Not any more tho!! Big sister is clearly bigger!!!

Sweet Payton finally broke into the 30's and is long and lean!!

Stetson has sllllooowwwlllyyy gaining the weight and he is thick and on the taller side. We are now asked if he and Payton are twins. ;)

A change!

So, I've made the decision to get rid of Facebook for awhile, and my goal is to keep my blog updated a little better with the "little" things that would be everyday on FB.
Sooo... if you wanna keep up with my crazies, this will be the way to do so for awhile!! I will try my BEST to keep that promise.

Me and my phone have become best buds in the picture department.
Like... literally, these are from a few months ago. This is a smidge of the amount of pictures really on my phone. But pictures worth sharing, non the less.
Here is Paytons first day of Ballet picture. 3 months in and Payton is eating it up!!!

I've gone hunting with my honey.

Madelynn had her first official dentist appointment... she had 2 teeny tiny cavities in between the back teeth. Her mouth is so so very tiny, and her teeth so very crammed in there tightly, I can tell that dental life for this girl will NOT be fun, or cheap.

I PROMISE, I am NOT the "selfie" type of girl... so don't judge the fact that I am posting a god forbidden mirror pic. ;) I went through this little "curly hair challenge" that I found on Pintrest, and as I did, I kept up with the progress on my phone.
I: -made my own shampoo/conditioner
-Didn't brush or comb my hair for 2 weeks!
-used different products on my hair
The outcome- I had more BAD hair days then good.
Therefore, I did not keep up this trend. I'm still using a few of the "ideas"....and can still tell a difference in my curls.

Stetson. My dear son, keeps me busy.

Here he is "washer diving" AKA looking for change.
Here he is in the bathtub... after having pulled the shower rod/curtain down.
and here he is... climbing.
Save me form him!!

Heres my sweet baby girl. Can't believe how big she is!!

The girls at ballet

Mini van Parents right hurrrr.

Love my Payton's morning hair.

Nat and I took a day trip to NM to get some more of our stuff from storage. It was a good "parental catch up" day.

Just cuz. :)

Madelynn had Homecoming week at school. She had fun dressing a fun way every day.

Topsy Turvy Day.

Red, white and blue day (Patriotic)
International day
Neon Day
Spirit Day

My 2 wee lil Lions.

On Friday, they had a carnival at the school for the little kids. Payton and I enjoyed spending that time with Madelynn and her class

It was a fun week, and she wondered the next week why she couldn't up the dressing up trend. ;)

and last but not least, my husband.
I walked into our room to go to bed and saw this.

P.S. I do have Instagram, and you can keep up with us there also.
mlrose03 is me!!

Thanksgiving.

It definitely did not go unnoticed that we were able to spend Thanksgiving with our families this year. Its been sooo great to be back home and we LOVE spending all this time with our families. We spent the morning with my family, and the afternoon with Nats family..... Followed by some Black Friday shopping.

We had a BLAST shopping Thursday night. If I never got a good deal, I just LOVE to go and people watch... all the crazy, grouchy, mean people... and the happy, lets find a good deal, this is awesome people. We DID find some great deals, and my empty Christmas list, was filled that night!!
