Diagnosis

Ok... here it is.
She has Kidney Reflux
meaning... the urine is transported through 2 tubes called ureters to the bladder and squeezed out when you pee. In Paytons case, instead of just going out, it goes back up towards the kidneys and her ureters are enflamed from the urine being pushed back up through them instead of out the urethra. Does that make sense??? Thats the best way I can explain it... and the pictures help.

As Dr. Wehner put it, its just somethin that went wrong with her plumbing. We'll have to watch it as she gets older and hopefully and prayerfully, it will fix on its own... but if not, she may eventually in the future have to have surgery to correct it because ultimately, it can damage her kidneys... and we most definitely do not want that!!!

Thanks everyone for your calls, texts, and prayers! We are doing much better. The nurse just came in and took her temp and it was 103.9 so she gave her some tylenol and now Payton is resting. When the tylenol kicks in, she is herself... but when it wares off she is a miserable little baby.
