The Dr. came in this morning and filled us in on some more things.
- Her white blood cell count is down to 20,000 from 33,000 so that is a good thing. The Dr. said that means were going in the right direction.
- She was on 2 antibiotics, one that can be pretty harsh on her kidneys but she needs to be on because thats what her body needs to fight off the infection. They checked her blood before and after she was given the antibiotics but we have not heard the results BUT.... The Dr. ended up taking her off of that because...
-They got the results back from her ultrasound and they think that they saw some damage done to her kidneys or her ureters. We will not know anything for sure, and how bad the damage is until we see a urologist.
- When we go home, she will be on 2 different kinds of antibiotics until we can see the urologist.
- On a scale of 1-5, 5 being the worst, the Dr. put her as a 4. So its a pretty serious deal!
Anyways... thats about all we know for now! I'll keep everyone updated as we find out new things... but hopefully thats all the new news we hear the rest of the time were here!! Unless of course, its good news. :)
