Pardon the sporadic blogging. I really don't like it to be this way. I wanna blog more than I have been, but truth be known, I'm starting to feel like I'm repeating stuff I've already blogged about.... so if there is nothing new and hip happening in life, I don't feel the blog inspiration... if ya know what I'm sayin?!?!

So I guess I'll just bring y'all up to date on life in the Rose household.

Madelynn is still LOVING school. She wakes up every (school) morning with a big 'ol grin on her face and talks about school up until we leave the house! Her teacher says she is doing great and gets a along good with everyone! I have to go by the little bit that her teacher has told me because I pick her up and................... SILENCE!
She won't tell me anything about her day. She's finally gotten to where she'll tell me her teachers name if I beg her. If you know Madelynn, you'll probably be in shock with me that she doesn't blab about her day. I was sooo sure that she was gonna talk about school all day, every day. So I was looking forward to knowing all the dirty details (as Madelynn is a very detailed person) who got in trouble, when she went potty, when she passed gas. (.....thanks to her father, farting is a monumental thing in life that EVERYONE needs to hear and know about. Its a daily battle and I have begged and pleaded with her NOT to fart at school. Its horrible. Anyone else have this issue?!?!)
yes, its kinda a bummer, but I know that she is having fun because of the smile on her face, and her great attitude towards school.

For a couple of weeks now, we've been going through they're Bible story book, which has a Bible story for each letter (A is for Ark) Well, Madelynn has a memory like nothing I've ever seen. She very often brings stuff up from looong ago.. stuff that has long passed my mind. Nat and I just look at each other in disbelief over how well she remembers stuff. were on the letter L... and she know every single story up until then! I'm so proud of her and how well she learns and retains stuff.

I kinda gave a detailed update on Payton in my last post so not much new about her. Remember how she potty trained hersefl?? Ya, well she is totally regressing... and I know that that is pretty normal for a child to do... but my dilema?? How do I discipline the girl for wetting herself when I didn't even teach her/have to work with her. I feel like I don't have the place to get onto her. Does that make sense?!? So... I really am not sure on how to approach the situation.

Awhile back when we found out she had a UTI, she also had blood work done along with the urine culture.... and we found out at her 2 year old check up that she was also anemic. At the time, she was on antibiotics for the spider bite on her arm and the Dr. wanted her to finish that and have more blood tests run. Well, I totally forgot (bad mom award goes to ME!!!!) So today she had more blood drawn and another urine test done and we will see the Dr again tomorrow to discuss the results. Pray for us!!! PLEASE????

Stetson is such a BOY! Oh my goodness the difference in boys and girls is huge. Its been fun to have a little boy-ness added to the house. He is just like every little 1 year old boy. He loves balls, cars, food, and LOVES to climb! That boy can climb up anything... and he does. I always remember it being a monumentally exciting thing to me when my kids learn to turn around and go feet first off the bed/couch... rather than falling off head first. ;) Which he has started to do (yay!!) so climbing doesn't always end dramatically.

He walks around all day "babbling." Neither of the girls did this... its so funny to just sit there and converse with him as he acts like he knows just what you're saying, and he responds with just what he is thinking.  It goes a lil something like this: aaaaaHhhhhhhhaahhahahRRRRRRrrrfaaaaaaaAAAAAAAhhhhhhhhHHHHH.
Its hilarious!! I need to get a video of it to always remember that he did this.

He loves to be outside. I remember my nephews used to cry to go outside... and I remember thinking it must be a boy thing. Sure has turned out to be that way in our house! Our front screen door doesn't latch and he takes full advanatage of that. With this cooler weather, I've enjoyed having the doors and windows open.... and he's enjoyed walking out the door at any given moment of the day.... which is fine, I don't mind that. However, I do mind him walking out the front door at night (when the coyotes are out).... ya, he did this the other night. I was tucking the girls in and thought Nat knew Stetson's where abouts... then as I called for Nat and no answer I knew he more than likely didn't know Stetson's where abouts. So, I started to look for him, to no avail. I run out the front door and here he comes walkin up the driveway, from the swing set..... Grrrrr, I coulda beat his little 1 year old butt for giving me such grief. Luckily 1 of the dogs escaped out with him so it wasnt too bad.

Speaking of the weather... how bout it?!? Hasn't it been such a relief from this summer. Our summer here in NM wasn't quite as hot as San Angelo's summer.... but it has been HOTT to say the least. We finally got to go play outside yesterday, and ended up spending a lot of the day outside, riding bikes and playing on the swing set. I felt bad that we bought the girls bikes for their birthdays, and they've pretty much been setting in the garage since we got them! Its nice to look out the window and see all their toys out on the driveway. Makes me smile to know that fall is right around the corner. Almost makes me wanna get my fall decor out!!

The kids and I headed to Angelo this past weekend for a little visit. It was wonderful. Every time we go back for a visit its a reminder of what were missing.... and I usually leave in a bummed out mood. Its hard to say bye to everyone not know when we'll see everyone again. I forgot my camera.... so these are a few snapshots off my phone from the weekend.

The little mama lovin on Owen
 Little man
 Spidey Payton!
The kids got to spend a lot of time with their cousins.
THE most depressing thing to watch when we leave is Madelynn and Cash saying goodbye. :( It is sooo sad. They love each other soooo much! They never ever fight and have soo much fun together.
