Pride issues.

So.... something that I have always wanted to do since forever was take a cake decorating class. My mom decorated cakes my whole life and I was always really interested in doing it myself. I have been hesitant to blog about this simply for pride reasons. Not knowing how I would be at it.. and not wanting people to think my stuff is horrible. I decided to let my pride down and go ahead and document my cake decorating class venture in life.

We had our first class on Tues. and just learned the basic stuff. Not even anything that I attempted today. So knowing absolutely nothing about what I'm doing. I decided to give it a whirl. Nats birthday is on Sunday so why not??

I'll definitely need to work on writing. It is a lot harder than it looks. Lot harder than I thought it would be. I am sure that we'll learn more about writing in the weeks to come.

It turned out alright I guess. I am a major perfectionist so the fact that everything isn't straight and perfect irritates me. I did learn a lot of what not to do this time around but I guess thats what practice is for!!

  1. do you read that 'make a cake' series on that blog i told you about. 'make it and love it'? it's pretty cool. she uses a lot of fondant though. but i bet you could learn something from it. it really has never interested me so i always skip right past it.

  2. So cool that you are taking the cake decorating class. It looks like you are already a step ahead of the game! You should have seen my first cake!
